arche noVa adalah sebuah LSM Internasional yang berasal dari Jerman yang berada dibawah payung organisasi kemanusiaan Jerman ADH (Aktion Deutschland Hilft) dan departemen luar negri Negara Jerman membuka lowongan untuk posisi:

Social Mobilizer pada proyek pengadaan air bersih dan sanitasi lingkungan paska bencana di wilayah Sumatra Barat

1. Kualifikasi: Sarjana atau minimal mahasiswa tingkat akhir pada bidang; Antropologi, Sosiologi, Komunikasi atau ilmu-ilmu sosial. Berkewarganegaraan Indonesia dan lebih diutamakan yang bisa berbahasa daerah (bahasa Minang)


2. Durasi kerja: Minimal 3 bulan dan dapat diperpanjang sampai satu tahun

3. Base office: Lubuk basung, kabupaten Agam SUMBAR

4. Social Mobilizer meliputi perencanaan program dan implementasi dari proyek pengadaan air bersih, pembuatan WC darurat dan kampanye sanitasi dan kebersihan lingkungan di sekolah-sekolah (SD) dan masyarakat (berbasis nagari)

5. Job description dan tanggung jawab:

· membuat rencana kerja yang melibatkan masyarakat dan sekolah dalam aktivitas proyek dengan pendekatan PRA

· mengatur pertemuan dengan masyarakat dan sekolah (guru-guru, orang tua murid dan komite sekolah)

· berkoordinasi dengan masyarakat dalam implementasi kegiatan dan mengikutsertakan mereka didalam kampanye sanitasi dan kebersihan lingkungan

· berkoordinasi dengan technical supervisors dan Hygiene Promoter

· berkoordinasi dengan stakeholder- stakeholder lainnya seperti instansi-instansi pemerintah dan LSM-LSM (baik lokal maupun internasional)

· laporan mingguan dan bulanan kepada Project manager dan Head quarter

· membantu Head quarter dan Project manager dalam hal pembuatan laporan kepada penyandang dana

Title: PO - Social Worker
CWS Indonesia (www.cwsindonesia.or.id) is an international non-governmental development organization, working in various locations in Indonesia with the aim of improving the lives of poor and vulnerable Indonesians, is searching for : Program Officer – Social Worker (base : Jakarta). The project requires a person with the capacity to provide support to enable people to help themselves. He/ She maintain professional relationships with service users, acting as guides, advocates or critical friends.
The Social Worker is expected to demonstrate the competencies in carrying out his/ her duties:
• Undertaking and writing up assessments which meet specified standards and timescales;
• Obtaining information about people who use the service, assess their needs and contribute to the planning about how these needs can be met, passing information to others on a need-to-know basis only.
• Organizing and managing the packages of support to enable people to lead the fullest lives possible;
• Assisting the Team Leader in conducting and identification on social problem, psychological problem and physical disabilities.
• Conducting interviews to people with social problem, psychology problem, and having physical disabilities to assess and review the situation;
• Providing psychosocial support including offering information and basic counseling
• Recommending and making decisions about the best course of action for a particular problems based on need;
• Participating in multidisciplinary teams, training, supervision, and team meetings;
• Maintaining accurate records and preparing reports;
Specific requirements:
1. Having background/ degree in Economic, Sociology, Humanities, or related field with at least 2 years working experience in related field
2. Experience in interpersonal skills with ability to motivate/counsel both staff as well as local partners/community
3. An extensive skill in writing, reporting, and documenting is essential.
4. Having a commitment to helping people
5. Having an understanding of discrimination and its effects.
6. Possessing computer skills, including internet navigation and various office applications
7. Having the ability to work in a team and harmoniously in a multi-cultural environment
8. Willing to travel to project site and to be based on project site
9. Able to speak and write English and Bahasa Indonesia
10. Should have the ability to interact and communicate with wide range of stakeholder (local NGO, local government and beneficiaries)
11. Able to work independently with minimum supervision and to handle multi tasking jobs
12. Having experience in working with INGO or international environment is beneficial
13. The ability to work flexibly.

Job Description:


Concernig our relief programme in Nias/ Indonesia we are looking for a Housing Project Coordinator to start in June for at least 7 Month with option for extension.

Description of position:

The expatriate Housing Project Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and implementation of the housing component of a major reconstruction programme in South Nias. Target is the construction of 450 new houses and the rehabilitation of 215 houses in a very challenging timeframe.

Duty station:

Remote field offices in Lahusa District, South Nias (90% of time), and in Head Office Gunung Sitoli, North Nias (10% of time). Constant travel within the project area. Living and work conditions can be challenging.

Reporting:

The Housing Project Coordinator reports to the Programme Coordinator in Gunung Sitoli, Nias.

Responsibilities:

You are responsible for the timely implementation of all housing activities within the programme, i.e. technical supervision, planning and management, as well as community relations. In particular, you are responsible for meeting a very challenging implementation timetable and for coordinating your department successfully in relation to other departments of HELP e.V. on Nias.

Contract duration:

7 months with possibility of extension (depends on the programmeruntime)

Start date:

June 2008

Breakdown of tasks:
- Daily control of overall construction progress in the field
- Responsibility for further development and monitoring of a challenging and complex implementation schedule
- Daily supervision of your department and weekly reporting to the Programme Manager
- Carefully managing community relations/supervising your team´s community relations
- The emphasis is on timely and technically accurate implementation
- Revision, if necessary, of technical specifications and BoQs
- Preparation of technical bidding documents
- Preparation and supervision of technical documentation for the Programme Manager and the Donors
- Cooperation with relevant local authorities
- Close cooperation with all programme departments of HELP on Nias (Finance, Procurement, Distribution, HR, Water and Sanitation). Adherence to our internal processes is a must.
- Guidance, constant motivation and personal leadership of your team under very difficult conditions.
- Constant assessment of the security situation.
Qualifications, knowledge and experience
- Master degree in a technical subject or similar professional background
- At least 10 yrs experience in large-scale, complex infrastructure project management (private, public or NGO/humanitarian sector)
- AT LEAST 3-5 yrs of this experience MUST have been in a developing country
- Strong ability to manage and lead a large department
- Strong planning and organizational skills, strong report skills including finance and budget control
- Available to start in June 2008
- Willing to live under field conditions
- Good sense of humor, stress resistant, good communicator
- You must support your detailed CV and cover letter with reference letters and the contact details of at least two recent professional referees
