SENIOR/SOFTWARE ENGINEER - Java/C++/C# - Singapore

Job Description/Responsibilities
Reporting to the Software Development Lead, the
successful candidate will be expected to perform
software development and implementation tasks for
consulting project activities. The candidate must have
strong foundation in development using Java, C++, C#
and XML.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:
•Develops custom code using Java, C++, C#, and XML for
both Windows and UNIX environments.
•Develops forms and reports using HTML and JSP.
•Develops build, installation, and deployment scripts
(shell and command scripts, SQL, Ant scripts).
•Executes unit tests and records results.
•Develops internal tools/simulators.
•Understands and utilizes UML notation for
documentation purpose.
•Develops and enhances common API framework (reference
implementation).
•Integrates standard product with custom development
and verifies proper operation.
•Clearly communicates in oral and written
communication; listens, responds and keeps others
informed.
•Works collaboratively within teams and contributes to
group outcomes. Treats all individuals fairly and with
respect through consistent behaviors.

This position requires the following combination of
demonstrated experience, skills and abilities:
-Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent in Computer
Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
-Minimum 7 years of applicable experience, at least 3
years within a professional services organization.
-Software design & development experience.
-Experience integrating 3rd party software.
-Experience with Unix, Windows, TCP/IP, Java, EJB,
C++, XML, SOAP, EDI, Oracle, SQL Server, Apache or
IIS, WebLogic, WebMethods and UML. And advantage if
the candidate has experience in J2ME development, web
services, EAI and SOA.
-Good written and oral communication skills in
English.
-Previous experience working for a consulting firm or
system integrator.
-Positive working attitude.
-Able to work extended hours under tight deadlines to
successfully meet objectives.

Location : Singapore
Duration : 6 months contract with possibility of
converting to perm staff.
