Location: Concord, New Hampshire
Duration: 1+ year.

Here is the job description:
The Cognos developer must be well versed with Cognos 8 BI Suite of Products
with strong database skills. The candidate will work closely with the
business analyst and / or the end user to define/refine the requirements,
and develop and publish Cognos 8 packages, reports, and cubes.

Responsibilities: -
Collaborate with business units to gathering information, understand the
business needs and objectives, recommend the appropriate reporting solution
Define, design, develop and deliver flexible reports that meet business user
needs while meeting defined milestones and deliverables
Document report design specifications and all stages of development life
cycle
Design and develop model, package, report or query components as required

Skills and experience: -

Ø Excellent knowledge of SQL and Relational databases for system performance
and data retrieval
Ø ReportNet / Cognos 8 - Cognos Connection, Report, Analysis, Query and
Event Studios (5+ years experience)
Ø Knowledge of Cognos Administration and Security features
Ø Knowledge of HTML, XML, Javascript and Web Applications
Ø Oracle 9i/10g RDBMS experience (5+ years)
