Detailed job description for the each category is as follows:

Database Administrator Job Description:

§ Monitor and tune database server (DB2).
§ Implement and support data migration and database replication
§ Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for database servers.
§ Manage upgrade and migration of the DBMS version and releases.
§ Implement data models and database design, data access and table
maintenance.
§ Manage the security and integration of Database environment.
§ Monitor and tune database servers (DB2).
§ Implement backup and disaster recovery plans for database servers.
§ Manage upgrade and migration of the DBMS version and releases.
§ Implement data models and database design, data access and table
maintenance.
§ Manage the security and integration of Database environment.

Resident engineer Job description:

· New servers' installations and installation of additional servers'
parts.
· Perform all necessary configurations and connections for new
Servers Standalone/Cluster and new virtual Systems/Servers on
different kinds of Storages in the Company.
· Operate and administrate all Company Storages and Tape Libraries.
· Monitor all company Storages' and Tape Libraries.
· Perform regular Backup for all servers' systems, servers'
application and users' critical data using Enterprise Backup
solutions such as (Symantec Backup Exec, NT Backup, etc.).
§ Perform and support all necessary preparations and configurations
for storage expansions and hardware replacement.
§ Perform reports related to the incidents and problems to Company
management.
§ Operate and administrate all Company servers
Standalone/Cluster/ Virtual.
§ Troubleshoot and resolve all Servers' and Virtual Servers problems.
§ Coordinate with the appropriate Hardware provider or (other
contractors) for troubleshooting and resolving of all Servers'
hardware problems.
§ Coordinate with the appropriate virtual servers' systems providers
or (other contractors) such as VMWARE for troubleshooting and resolve
of all problems.
§ Perform Servers and virtual Servers Optimization and Capacity
Planning.
§ Test Servers systems before upgrades/updates take place in live
environment. Ensure that the upgrade/updates for the systems won't
affect the running services.
§ Monitor current Servers' and Virtual Servers' configurations
changes and performance.
§ Perform preventive maintenance of servers' and Virtual Servers'
equipment and the related communications.
§ Perform configurations tuning.
§ Produce periodical availability and system performance reports.
§ Produce reports related to the incidents and problems management.

System Programmer Job Description:

§ Operate and manage system (VSE/ESA),
§ Software upgrades, fixes and replacement.
§ Recommend and follow up on applications enhancements of quick fix
nature.
§ Coordinate applications testing efforts with Business Systems
Development Department and other divisions within ITC Operations.
§ Perform/aid in installing software upgrades and patches (related to
applications) .
§ Perform directories services functions.
§ Monitor storage performance on all level and ensure optimal
utilization of storage technologies and devices.
§ Participate in the planning (growth and enhancement) of the storage
capacity exercise.
§ Manage enterprise storage devices installation, configuration, and
backup and recovery activities.
§ Perform Telecommunication (NCP, VTAM) function, for the Network
Software support and to provide the needed Enterprise Host Definition
and Connectivity of Network Resources to the Routers.
